Dude if it is then we need to one day own a street legal race car and drive it around on the weekend in our helmets. That would be hilarious.

The only remaining risk would be death by burning if you got in a bad accident and the car caught fire and you couldn't get the harness off. On track there are safety people to come get you out.

Only way to avoid that is drive very carefully and pray..

You shall add a stripped out but street legal Alfa GTV as soon as possible! It will have a full cage. You will wear a helmet at all times when driving it. You will be the local Stig in your area. And a national legend on Oppo and FP.

Speaking of which the old man's new Ghia has a lot of rust. He wasn't able to inspect it before buying it. I was talking to him about it today and he said he knows how to deal with the rust and that it doesn't scare him. So I told him that I've been doing some research on GTVs and that he should buy one and restore it since he is not scared of dealing with rust and the values are going up.

His response was "this is interesting. Look for cars for me to buy and fix up"
